Default Bold Headphone jack to vehicle AUX input problem

Please Login to Remove!

My truck has an AUX input in the dash. I got a "standard" male->male stereo cable and connected it from the headphone jack on the Bold to the AUx input on the dash.

Problem is, the "Voice Actuated Dialing" keeps coming up randomly while the cable is connected.

Is there a "special" cable or adapter required to go from headphone jack->AUX in or is it a "standard" stereo cable ?

I had my (sorry) iPhone working fine for the 3 weeks while I "evaluated" it but the Bold is giving me fits.

Also, SOMETIMES I can hear the phone calls through this connection and sometimes I don't.

Turn your Bluetooth off. I had the same problem when I was trying to use AT&T Navigator through my car stereo aux jack. If the sound even went through the stereo I would get the voice calling problem, but I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I bought a new car with Bluetooth build in. The Navigator wouldn't play through the stereo unless Bluetooth was turned off. Once I did that and exited Navigator (then restarted) it worked great. The voice problem went away, the Navigator played through my stereo, and I was even able to turn Bluetooth on AFTER Navigator started. What a pain.
