I'm on the Rogers network and was wondering if anyone know how to get rid of that freaking SMS message for ever voice mail I get? i remember i use to be able to listen to the voice mail and it would disappear after the call. I would just really like to know how to never get it in the first place. I have a VM indicator for a reason.

This may not be of a lot of use - but in the UK with Vodafone and O2 - when you call into your voicemail you can change the account settings. One of the settings is how you want to be notified about voicemails and you can set it to call you or SMS you etc....

just tried this and the only options you can change on our network is : "out call notification" and "message waiting indicator"

no luck there

Ok, this was driving me nutz too. I'm on AT&T Curve 8810 w/4.5 OS. Try this.....Go into Messages, menu - options, general options, scroll down to SMS & Email Inboxes, choose separate. At one point I thought I had done this and it didn't work. However, last night I had to pull the battery and put it back,...reset (no data loss). Today I get back on the forum to look for a solution and notice the darn things aren't there anymore. I'm guessing once you choose to separate SMS & email and then do a battery pull, it takes care of it. It works for me. When you do the separation your SMS texts will no longer show up in your Messages folder but will have their own folder.

Also, one thing to note........ I do know that when you get a voicemail and the notification pops up on your screen it gives you the option to hit "ok" or "save". Make sure you hit "ok" or the escape button to right of scroll ball. If you hit "save" it sends the sms no matter what.

Oh yea, I was also calling my voicemail and messing around with the personal options. I'm pretty sure I chose to turn off outgoing notification. That may have done the trick. And I'm actually seeing this on some other forums regarding the issue. Surely that's it. Sux to fix something and not know how you did it. Good luck.
