Default Purge Deleted Items

Please Login to Remove!

I'm using Blackberry Bold. I remember I saw "Purge Deleted Items" somewhere in my mobile. However, I cannot find it in email Options - email reconciliation now. I need it, because my emailbox on Server is very small. It has been out of the limitation many times already.

Thanks a lot!

You don't see it under Messages -> Options -> Email Reconciliation -> Menu button?

If you have BES and depending on what your settings are in the Messages -> Options -> Email Reconciliation -> Delete On setting. You can have this automatically work. Either you remove it from your device and therefor stays on the server. Or you can delete on hand held and mailbox and it will remove its self from the server. I don't there there is any way to empty your deleted items from the device its self.

If you're on a BES you can empty your Outlook Deleted Items from your BlackBerry using the Purge Deleted Items function.

I do it all the time.

You have to be on a BES, and you have to press the Menu button (or click the wheel if you have an old-fashioned device) to see it. Here's a screen shot.

Ahhh okay I was thinking it was on the screen. I hate those stupid hidden menu items.

As noted you need to be on BES and the feature is hidden for whatever reason. I submitted a request to put the option off the main email menu a long time ago. It's crazy how it's hidden as it's very useful for people that are road warriors and need to need their mailbox clean.

Messages / Options / Email Reconcilation / PRESS MENU KEY / Purge Deleted Items.

You can then pick pick which email account to purge from/
