Now that you mention it, I do here a slight noise when web pages are loading up. It's VERY faint, and can only be heard when I hold the device close to my ear and there is absolute silence. Probably the processor working to load the page. Not sure if it's normal.

yea..i have to hold it up to my ear to hear it...but some times if its close enough(like on my desk) i can hear it..but for me..its not just when pages are loading, it always there

I hear a high pitch sound sometimes when I'm using the phone. For example, if I'm on a phonecall and I press the Green Call button, a very high pitch sound is noticable. Very annoying to me. Is anyone else having this issue?

Not really there so much, but I do notice a slight noise on the home screen when I'm scrolling through the icons. It's only when the text appears for the given icon though. (i.e. - when the 'Browser' text shows up on the screen) When the text fades away, so does the noise. I have to really be listening to notice it though.

papi...yea..thats basically like mine too.i just called rogers...they told me to reload the Os (which i did) and it still didn't fix it (i think its a hardware problem) so now they will be sending me a replacement...i'm picky w/ these little things...

So am I to an extent. I'm wondering if I should give AT&T a call. I was thinking that the noises might be commonplace, but if everyone else is chiming in saying they don't hear anything at all, I'm imagining I should check into it before my 30 days are up.

The only thing that concerns me is the idea of receiving a refurb if I exchange the thing. Anyone with experience in the matter know if there is a good chance that they will send out a refurb? Also, if you bought online, do you have to go through the number listed for exchanges, or is it possible to exchange at a local corporate-owned store?

for rogers...if you ordered through regular customer service..u can pickup and or exchange at a store..but i ordered through retention(customer relations) so i do not have that option. in terms of recieving a refurbished one...i'm not sure about that...but my bold was brand new..i think i recieved a refurbished one before( sony ericsson) but other than that..it was all brand new...

wheni called in today, i said..i'm not sure if this is normal or not..but i dont think it is..but i hear noises coming out of my phone..and right away the lady said its not...

Thanks for the info! Looks like I'll be exchanging mine if it's not normal. I just noticed that there are some stuck pixels on my screen as well, which is the icing on the cake in terms of me exchanging for a new one.

No, it's not reception, it sounds like when you leave a TV on but the cable box off.... you know what i mean?

I called AT&T and went through the troubleshooting and found out that it is a defect. They are replacing the phone for me. The problem I was having is that it would make this annoying sound anytime the screen was on.
