just bought a bold off ebay when i turn it on it asks for password seller gave me it and phone works ok but how do i turn this function off

I'm not sure of this answer, but try putting in a new thread. Change the topic. "Bold" is too vague and probably not many users looking at your post.

Try "Can't remove password request".

Go to Settings > Options > Password and you should be able to remove the option it in there.
