Default Manual Backlight Manipulation

Please Login to Remove!

My 8800 had a top left button which would manually toggle the backlight on and off. The top right button was to mute the phone. The top left button on my 9900 is now for mute control, and there is no right top button.

Is there some 8800-like handy way to manually turn off the backlight on the 9900?

What about setting the keyboard backlight so that it is on at all times that the backlight on the screen is on, as opposed to independently turning off when it feels there's enough light for you to type without it?

Nope, as I figured. out when I first got the Bold! There is no way, it's either set to auto-dim or not! And unfortunately there is no way to keep the key board and trackball lit at all times. Besides, the battery would be dead in half the amount of time, which is not that good to begin with.
