Default Upgraded to 4.6.0.190 now password option is gone?

Please Login to Remove!

My device password used to be 4 characters under .166

I upgraded to .190 now my password has to be "longer" which I complied with. However, there is no way to remove the password or change it now. The Options -> Securitiy -> General Settings is missing this option.

Does anyone know where it may have gone? Downgrading seems to have no effect as well.

I would prefer to have my old 4 digit password, not the new 6+.

I am not on a BES server.

Thanks!

It should be under Options > Password. I believe it has always been there for the Bold

Ahhh - yes, there it is

However - does anyone know why my device password must be more than 6 characters after installing .190? Any way I can change it back to 4?

New security issues most likely in the new OS. why did you update it in the first place? was there a reason or just wanted the latest greatest OS? I ask this cause most people think they have to upgrade but if you are not having issues then don't bother upgrading unless its proven to show say more battery life etc..

Don't know if it is just my phone but I was able to set password at 4 digits. I upgraded because I was getting way too many drop calls when going from 3G to EDGE. But so far so good.

That's really strange. I'm running .190 and my pass is only 4 characters.
