Question Question about Logging into to Internet Banking sites?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there - I purchased a BB Bold the other day and all is good, but I'm having trouble logging in to my internet banking sites. I have 3 accounts that I've tested this on and all 3 have the same end result. I can type in my user name and password on the login page, but when I hit login, it just reopens the same page. If it was a problem with an incorrect password etc. I'm sure it would show a message to that effect - but I just can't log in. Does anyone know if it might have something to do with security settings somewhere? I can log in to Hotmail ok and a few other sites, it just seems to be the banking sites. (PS: I did speak with one bank's Help Desk who said I should be able to log in via a mobile, so, I have checked out that angle also!)..... Any ideas?

Could it be a Java issue where you have it disabled and it needs to be enabled? Or inversely, Java is enabled and needs to be disabled? Also the browser emulation may need to be changed.

my bank sites also are able to distinguish my mobile browser and only show some general information for security purposes. . . Browser emulation is set to IE...

I use Opera Mini. It works just like a full web browser. Check it out. Go to operamini.com from your BB browser.

Hi there - and thanks for your response (thanks to everyone else also!).... I've downloaded the operamini, but for some reason I can't get it installed. It keeps telling me it "can't access the internet!" But it obviously accessed the internet to do the download?????

Are Blackberries really fickle or should I just smack it! DOH!
