I use my bold on a hands free system in my car. the thing is I always need to activate the connection it doesnt detect the phone automatically. I had the same issue with the pearl and i messed around with it and then it started automatically detecting the phone every time i started the car but I have no idea what i did. Anyone know where I can configure it to always connect to the car's bluetooth? and another thing, when connected to the hands free I only hear the call from when someone picks up I dont hear the ringing tone which causes some people to hang up because the time it takes from when they answer until they hear me is about 5secs and they think no one is on the other side.

Check that it is 'trusted': Options/Bluetooth, select the Device and check Device Properties.

Tried it, no success I still have to manually activate the device everytime i enter the car

The other thing you might want to check is that your car stereo trusts your device and it is set to automatically connect. I know my Pioneer system requires my phone trust its connection and that the deck will look for my phone when it is turned on.

I would try deleting it, and re-pair it. I thought after the pairing it asked you if you want to automatically connect to it...

Hellooo.. Puhleeese, someone's gotta know how to do it. I checked my bluetooth settings on the pearl and set them to the exact same but it still doesnt connect automatically to the car. If anyone has any clue that would be greatly appreciated

As stated previously......DELETE the pairing........RE-Pair this has always worked for me when there was a bluetooth problem.

Nope, they did not work. I always have to connect the device manually and sometimes it says phone unavailable even though im holding the phone so I know its available but in any case i always have to do it manually. Like I said before I had the same problem with the pearl and i have no idea how I resolved it with the pearl but the settings i have on the bold are the same as on the pearl so.... no clue

Yea, with my Pioneer, I had to access the bluetooth through my deck and made sure it registered the Bold in its system.
