Default help, bold keeps freezing

Please Login to Remove!

so afer only 1 week, my Bold has froze 3 times, all during brick breaker.
this is very annoying and it wanted a phone that crashed, I would get another treo lol.

anyone have this problem, is there a fix?

Yes, I'm still on .167 and don't want to upgrade in case I have to return the phone. I passed on a storm, not to have a phone that I have to keep taking the battery out of to unfreeze.

please any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Most likely the problem will be resolved in the upgrade. If you need to return it you can always put the old OS back on.

so it is completely safe and can definetly but rolled back? sounds like it is a good option then.
Maybe I'll start with .185?

will an os upgrade have any effect as far as losing my settings for BES, 3rd party software etc or is all that backed up first through desktop manager??

I've never had to do a black berry os update as my curve for 6 months was perfect out of the box.
treos had to do this all the time lol.....

I wasn't expecting my new bold to need os upgrades as soon as I bought it, lol

One question about the OS update. I downloaded the .185 and open it and it goes through the whole process but it wont put it on my phone. How do I put the .185 onto the phone after downloading it and installing it???

Perfectlly safe. I do it all the time. Sometimes products come out to fast and they offer and update to fix some bugs.

Follow the post above there is a loader file within the OS that you can use to install the OS on the BB.
