Good afternoon all.
i have personal emails coming through to the bold. If i read them on my computer at home it seems that even though they were on my blackberry they then go off. Also i would like to be able to store emails in named folders on my bold, is there a way i can do this? Maybe someone could point to me some faqs to solve these.

Ok after a bit of research im beginning to understand and looks like it ivolves settings on reconcile messages. How do i find out if i use bes or not. I only use personal email accounts on add a email account.

Come on guys help me out here !
The bottom line is on my o2 pearl i was getting all emails on blueyonder googlemail etc to the handset. Since i have switched to the bold and vodafone it all seems hit and miss. I have also been using windows live mail on home computer and not sure if this would have anything to do with it. I am sending test emails left right and centre and am still none the wiser. Can anybody point me in the right direction.

Ok after receiving latest test email it seems they hit handset if email program on home computer is not on. This points me to Reconciliation and "on conflicts" but there are only two settings handset or mailbox wins ! How can i get them through to both like i did with pearl ?

BES - BB Enterprise Server - Corp. users who have purchased a BES sever.
BIS - Personal Internet Server - regular users

You are using BIS - personal email and not using BES if your not tied to a corp. BB Server.

Thanks Holden so how does reconcile work with BIS as well ?

This could be the way you installed the 4.6 DM (desktop manager).
Depending on how you installed the DM, this may be impacting your ability to receive email. (an assumption on my part as you have not given enough information.) Please review the install for the DM to shed some light on how the BB Redirector works...

Also...
If Outlook is open BB is not receving mail, that means Outlook is not set to 'Leave a copy on mail server' and it removes the message from server and in turn BB never gets that message.

Now if BB is receving mail if Outlook is open that means is set to leave copy on sever.

Basically if you only want to see mail on BB while Outlook is turned off, uncheck 'leave a copy on server' option .

Thanks for that. That just leaves me with the reconcile settings. Are they relevant on BIS. On DM 4.6 it is greyed out.
