Default Got my Bold, have few questions...

Please Login to Remove!

I got my Bold on Black Friday and I love it. I'm a previous Pearl user and Pearl was great...never had complaints about it. I initially wanted Storm, but after playing with it for a lil while I did not like it as I thought I will...So I got a Bold.

Few Q's about Bold...

1) I downloaded Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.6 few days ago, but it takes forever to transfer files from Desktop to My Device. Roxio isn't very responsive/cooperative. what would you suggest I do.

2) I am using MEdia Net as my browser but I can not seem to change Home Page Address to it. Even when I go to Options>Browser Config>Home Page Address, I still can't change it. Any suggestions.

3) I downloaded Myspace Application, but I can not seem to find it anywhere, on my Home Screen or at my Downloads.

THX all!

1). If you are just trying to copy files to your Blackberry all you have to do is open "My Computer". Your Blackberry should show up as an external drive. If you have a Micro SD card installed it will also show up. All you have to do is open either one and drag and drop.

2). Don't use MEdia net, use the Blackberry browser!

3). What version are you using? The newest version I can find is 1.0.0.22 and mine shows up in my downloads folder. If you are using the most current version, try doing a battery pull and see if that helps.

The Roxio program is slow. Its slow with my Curve as well. Manually transferring files through drop and drag to the BB works good for everything but video. If you want it to work, you need to use the Roxio program, as it formats it correctly for playback on the BB.

Although you could use Roxio for the video transfer, there are many free software available on the internet that allow you to format the video for BB easily. Then, you really don't need the Roxio.^^

Roxio is so slow. For videos, I may want to use MediaCell BlackBerry Video Converter

You need a BB data plan to get the BB Browser. Once that is provisioned and the service books are sent and received, the BB Browser will appear.

Do you have a BB data plan?
