Is AT&T your preferred carrier? I like the Curve - 8310. Very nice.
No 3G, but it does have GPS.

8310 would be my suggestion.

Ok, thanks. Tomorrow is the day I will finally have to decide because that is when I am eligible for the exceptional upgrade with AT&T. I really, really want the Bold, but it's soooo pricey. It'll cost me $475 up front. I know they say you get a $100 rebate, but you still have to have the money up front. Also, we got one of those "$100 rebates" last summer and they don't cut you a check anymore. It was this debit card-like thing that you could use for purchases, and it was difficult to use at times because at some places it just wouldn't work!

anyway, thanks for the input.

I just upgraded and it only cost me $400 as it should cost you. It even says it on their site.

Only if you're eligible for an upgrade. If you're not eligle for an upgrade, but you've been with them for longer than 6 months, you do an "Exceptional Upgrade", which means you can pay a $75 early upgrade fee and get the upgrade price of the phone. Hence the $475...

That's exactly right. Tomorrow I will have been with ATT for six months, so I can get the exceptional upgrade deal.
