Default Wifi to browse internet

Please Login to Remove!

I am a new user to BB. I am not able to use the browser to surf when the mobile network is turned off but Wifi is on and connected. I have tried different settings with browser but no solution.

Please provide some tips.

When did you get the phone? What OS are you using?

I just bought it. It is v4.6.0162 (PLatform 4.0.0.155)

WiFi requires a network connection as it requires a BIS/BES subscription. It has to have EDGE/3G to check for this. This is why you can't buy a Bold just to use WiFi without the data package.

What kbright said is true. Assuming that you asked for it, I reckon your line has not been provisioned for BIS yet (cause it's the weekend). Give them a call on Monday to make sure it happens.
