can someone tell me what this module does?

does?

i removed it, but nothing really happened to my phone... i can still make calls, my media still works, my images all there etc etc.

It's the pre-loaded wallpaper.

I thought that at first, but when I checked the media on my phone, the preloaded wallpapers are all still there, as well as the preloaded songs.

I know I tried removing them on my Storm also and they are still there.
