Question re: WIFI and Reboots...still can't connect

Please Login to Remove!

I don't really use the wifi feature on my bold, but have tried to set it up several times to no avail. It will connect to my network (ATT-akw), but the wifi symbol will be greyed out. I have my network setup as static IP, and have properly given the bold its own IP. I can ping other computers on my network just fine. But when I go to use the browser, no dice. I've tried turning off the mobile network, switching the default browser, following the directions in the "wifi and reboots" post, everything I can think of. It is obviously on the network, just won't go beyond to the world of the internet, any ideas? Thanks!

Default

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

I had a similar issue on a linksys router...it would show connected, but the wifi symbol would stay greyed out and I would never get UMA coverage...

After playing around with it, the router had dd-wrt firmware installed and there was an option for transmit power...it was set to the highest setting (250)...changed it back to the default setting (70) and everything works great now.
