Default Bold(s) lost connection to enterprise server (BPS)

hi guys,

i've got a really strange problem over here. thats the situation:

-blackberry professional server with latest upgrades
-16 users
-2 types of blackberry (9 bolds, 7 8800)
-different OS-versions in each "class"


the problem is now: every BOLD loose its connection to the enterprise-server, sometimes. the phenomenon is not reproduceable and it occurs sporadically. the os-versions differs between 126, 147 and 185. if this problem appears, the only way to get the bold "movin'" is to remove the batterypack for 30 seconds...not so good...all "missing" mails are "lost" for the blackberry. i thought this problem depends on "network changes" (3G <->2G), because in germany 3G is only available in big citys. i decided to activate 3G only for modem-use. but that didn't solved the problem.


this problem only appears with the bolds....the 8800s just work fine.

any ideas?

You may want to change the Mobile Network Settings on the Bold device to only use 2G if 3G is not essential or needed.

Go to Manage Connections > Mobile Network Options
Set Network Selection Mode to Manual
Set Network Mode to 2G

already tried. the problem also appears @2G-only-mode

I have the same problem. On my BES I have 50 BB (8700, 8310 and 9000). only Bold model have this problem. I configure only 2G network for test.
The next test is upgrade the firmware.
