Default Google Maps Satellite Zoom

I have noticed that when I am zooming in on the Google Maps app...the last zoom (closest) does not work. All I get is a blank screen. If I zoom out one click...it works fine. Anyone else experiencing this?

It is that way in a number of geographic areas on the PC as well.

They just don't have the highest res maps for all areas.
