Default Annoying lock

Please Login to Remove!

I really need some help over here, i tried messing around with options to remove that feature that you have to enter a password every time the keypad locks, when i go to options and password, the password is enabled with a lilttle red lock near it, and i can't change it to disable. O and when i frekin watch some videos it locks every couple of minutes or something and it interrupts the video, pretty annoying, basically i can't really watch anything. Really need some help here. Thanks

Welcome to the BBForums.

If that red lock is there, it is locked by your corporate BES, or you purchased a used device with an IT Policy on it.

Is this a corporate BB on a BES service?

++ Or you have encryption enabled on your media card.

well I don't really know, my dad gave it to me, all I know is that it's from vodafone hong kong and I can't use any other sim card other than the hong kong's vodafone. It's ok if I can't remove the password feature, I can stand it but at least the auto locking thing has gotta go because I can't watch any vids.

While messing more with the bold, I realize that there's more little red locks on other stuff like the firewall, I can't disable it. And I can't install any apps on it too using the desktop manager, it says that its not permitted by the admin. Basically I can't really do much other than using what there is. Is there a way to "unlock" it?

Download JL_Cmder, use the "resettofactory" option. This will remove all of those restrictions. It will not, however, allow you to use SIM cards other than those of Vodafone Hong Kong.

Wow it worked, thank you so much! And do you happen to know how much will it cost me to unlock it to use other sim cards? Thanks again.

It varies by provider. I personally like GSM PhoneSource - When Only The Best Will Do (I have had 3 devices unlocked by him), and HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center is a sponsor on here.

Go to options > security options > general setting > hit menu key highlight wipehand.

If you want to use with other GSM carrier I can remotely unlock for you.
Send me an email

This will just remove personal settings and info, not the IT Policy.
