Default Is it necessary to download a video/mediaplayer to view web content?

Please Login to Remove!

When I try to view short videos on websites like the bbc, I get a message telling me that I need to download a program like media player or real player to see the content.

I am wondering, is there already an application on the Bold that will play video on the web, and why isn't it kicking in automatically?

If not, is it a good idea to download Media or Real Player, or is there another application that will work better?

Thanks for any suggestions.
