Default Bold 9000 slightly errant

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, i have a Blackberry Bold 9000 that i bought sim free in September 2008. The phone is basically fine but it will go into a shut down state with a white screen and a small black message that's too small to see in the middle of the screen. The only way to start it up again is to remove the battery. It does this quite a lot and it also loses signal quite often.

Is there a flash that can be performed or reinstall of software?
