Repeated re-install of core apps with 3rd party app installs Using any current OS version, including 4.6.0.216 and some of the newer betas, and using Desktop Manager or Apploader, every time i install of uninstall a 3rd part app, the loader insists on "upgrading" some of the core applications of the OS, the ones with "media" or "sonic" in them, so far as I can tell. I am not changing or upgrading the OS, I haven't made any changes in the core applications or in the alx files in the OS, or anything of the sort. I also have Desktop manager 4.6 set not to automatically upgrade.
The problem is that it takes a fair amount of extra time, and an extra battery-pull reboot after the unintended upgrade, in order to make the Bold function properly.
I don't recall having had this issue with the Curve when I added or took away third party apps--the core apps would not upgrade unless I was trying to upgrade the OS. |
