Very good choice over the Iphone. You will love the Bold, some say it's the best one yet. I am swayed a little because I have the Storm.

Mine never fails to impress me. And I'm pretty sure I peed a little when I saw the display... not really but I'm sure it could happen if you have a weak bladder =P

I have nothing but good things to say about the Bold. The features and quality of the device overall are awesome. You will love it. If you live in an area with good 3G coverage, you'll love it even more.

I would say, to answer you question, there's really no surprises. What I mean is, if you've been researching it, then you know all the great things to expect... I would say the only "surprise" is that if the device itself turns out to be a lemon... But great choice, and welcome to BBF!

So the Bold will be your first eh? They say you never forget your first and the Bold will leave a great impression from the first time you open the box and hold it.

The BB Bold is awesome... I just got mine two days ago and am totally hooked. I was a long time palm user and was almost mad when I started using my bold because I was missing out. The only issue I have is that I am a Mac user and the sync software does not work between my MacBook Pro and my Bold... I just did a google sync and got my contacts and calendars from there. Hopefully that will be resolved soon. (I tried PocketMac and The Missing Sync for BB).

Enjoy your Bold - I do... WoW...
