Angry Bold Clear Case - not such a deal

I bought a clear plastic case for my Bold on January 23rd, online , from Eforcity.com. It is still not here. Why is that? Well, after waiting for 11 days, I had the post office put a tracker on it, and they said it was shipped at the very cheapest/crappiest post price. It might be 3 weeks longer, the post office guy said.

He said that basically, if you don't ship anything Priority nowadays, your item will just sit around, waiting for enough other packages to show up, before it goes out. How is that for service?

Remember the old saying about the post office: "Neither snow, nor rain...will stop the postman..."? (paraphrased) Well, that is no longer true. The post office cannot make a buck, even though it has a monopoly - they lost a billion dollars or something last year. They suck.

So I guess I am just saying that if you order something, and you want to use it within a month, you better not have it shipped U.S. Mail. Or re-consider the price, with the added cost of Priority or NextDay. So it might not be such a good deal. And I thought DHL was bad (also a monopoly). If the vendor doesn't offer another shipper, like UPS, then maybe you should consider another vendor. Just saying.

I also ordered an aluminum Bold case this past Friday from a different vendor. Let's see how long that takes to get here. I might get it today.

Tell us how you really feel

I always spend the extra few bucks to get it here VIA a faster method with tracking. Be lucky you are in the States (Did I just say that???) and for the most part it's internal national shipping. Here in Canada we have to hope it gets across the border with no delays customs fees etc.

I guess you can complain that it sucks but it would be a lot worse if you had to go pick it up yourself or use DHL at 10x the cost. Think if there was no US Post? They have to make it profitable or else they will go out of business. You made the comment yourself that they lost 1 million dollars. Only way to do shipping is to make it cost effective. and the less people use them the more it costs and the more delay there is.

There are 2 sides to it if you really look at it. not trying to harp but you complaining is making it worse for the service you use cause people read your anger about it and say yeah screw US post I'm using UPS or DHL and US Post will just get worse till they collapse, it's a downward spiral Then you will be complaining that you have to spend 10x the amount cause you don't have a choice anymore.
