Default Address Book Phone Number Labels

Please Login to Remove!

How's it going everybody, I'm new to the Blackberry scene, fresh off the iPHONE and Palm Treo. I want to know if its possible to change the display next to the phone number in your address book? I have numerous contacts with a couple different phone numbers each, The default settings are something like "work, work2, mobile, other, etc."

Can these categories be changed? For example when I call my dad, he has a Personal Mobile Phone, Blackberry, and (3) different Offices in (3) different cities. I'd like to take the "work, work 2" categories and change it to something like Houston Office, London Office, it be easier to call my contacts with these custom labels. I was able to do it when I had my Palm Treo. Is this possible on the Blackberry? Thanks in advance!

dont believe it is possible, unless there is a 3rd party software out there that will do it

No, you can't.

You can create your Outlook sync to map those field from outlook to user fields on the BlackBerry, and that would be across the board for all contacts.
