Default the phones brand new

i just got the bold about a 3 weeks ago. and all of sudden the trackball doesnt work. i can move it up down left right but when i push it in it doesnt do anything.ansd i bought it off ebay so what do i do know

Stop eating potato chips while using it. Honestly the trackball picks up oils from your hands and if your hands are particularly greasy from something that'll make it even worse.

You can lock your keyboard, and usually if you press down hard while rolling the ball in the opposite direction of the sticking point several times it can correct this problem. This may or may not fix your press to activate issue though. I'm not sure the Bold's TB is easy to remove and clean however, but you should be able to get a replacement.

Press firmly on the trackball and roll it firmly IN the direction it does not want to go... that is the recommended thing to do. It is probably trash or lint/dust under the ball.

Do you keep the BB in your pocket or purse without a holster?

Call AT&T. They willl send you a new one no matter where you bought it from.

Ahhh... wrong. They will not replace a product they did not sell you, nor should they. They may allow you to insure it however.

Where did you hear this from? They won't even replace a phone that they sold you if you don't get insurance.
