Default MS Live Messenger inbound replies not appearing?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm having an issue where the messages sent to me via Microsoft Live Messenger don't appear on the blackberry. My sent messages are appearing on the recipients screen but intermittently the messages they send to me don't appear.

Anyone else had this problem?

ive had this problem with normal Live messenger on PC.

it could be strength of signal when a message is sent from someone, if the connection is low when they send it, it might not come through.

That's my idea of it at least.

Yeah, I had this problem once with email not always coming through, the other with Msn.

Orange told me to delete all the sevice books on the handset and resend them for email. This worked.

So, I tried when I had the msn problem it worked too. Seems now and again the service books get a bit confused.

I assume you've got access to your blackberry service online with your network provider firstly? You'll need this to send the service books through again. So make sure you have this before doing the next bit.

Go to 'Advanced Options' -> 'Service Books'

In here are all the 'service books' that help along your blackberry to be a 'blackberry'

You might try just deleting all the books that have WLM (stands for Windows Live Messenger) to begin with. move the highlight bar over the one you want to delete, press the blackberry button, this will give the option to delete. Once deleted go to the blackberry network site & click 'resend service books'.

If this doesn't work, delete the lot (there will be one you can't delete - ignore it) and resend.

It's always worth doing a reboot after deletion & unfortunately I found once more after you've sent them again. Ball-ache I know cos it takes so long to boot.

Ah cheers I may well try that. I've had no great issues with WLM today, friends were able to chat to meand send messages without issue. This issue with sometimes messages not getting to me on WLM seems to be sporadic and random. does rather make things hard to spot!

I had WLM 2.1.37 and only have 1 in application list.
using my same live account in WLM or BeeJive
in WLM after a short period of time I can send messages and recipient recieves them but I dont receive replies.
However in BeeJive it works perfectly fine without any flaws.
I am currently using BeeJive but would rather use WLM

I uninstalled, restarted BlackBerry. Installed newest one: 2.1.41
worked for about 45 mins straight then after I stopped using it for about 15-20 mins it all of a sudden wasnt receiving messeges again yet showed me signed in. switched my status from online to busy and back, and it was working again.
So it looks like its timing out on me.

Yeah I keep an eye on wlm now. If I leave it logged in it seems to timeout nd pretend to be signed in when it is only partially functional. If I sign out then in it works for a good period. I have now done a reset and resent the servicebooks but this hasn't solved the issue yet.
