Default The 888 Who Called message

Please Login to Remove!

Everytime I get a missed call, I get this message sent to me that tells me the number that called. I don't need, nor want this.

Is this a carrier issue (I have Rogers) or something that can be turned off on the unit?

Cheers!

Are you talking of an entry in your Messages folder that show a missed call?

Call Log > Menu > Options > Call Logging, and to NONE and save.

Yes, its just a Rogers thing. Dont remove the WHo Called feature because your services are bundled into a Value Pack, you would end up paying more. Call Rogers Custumer Service(*611 from wireless handset) and ask them to "disable" the who called feature.
Cheers

I am not entirely certain, but I think that this notification could be disabled via your voice mail setup. I believe the notification option is one of the choices.

I don't believe it is one of the choices to disable.

Is it on your device, where?

It's a separate feature from your voice mail and cannot be disabled. The notification in voice mail is the one that's sent to your device to make that little voice mail icon show. The WhoCalled thing is an extra feature of Rogers (horribly annoying!)... I've been meaning to call them about it. It's good if my phone is turned off, or I have no signal. But even if I purposely ignore a call, it sends a text message saying I missed a call. Grrrrr. Please let us know if Rogers allows you to disable this feature individually without messing up your value pack.

As I posted earlier, it can be disabled without messing up VP, just call *611 and ask custumer service to disable it. It is nothing that can be disable from the device itself.

Wasn't sure if you had success with them disabling it.... My experience with asking them to "tinker" with value pack features has usually been an outright "No."

Yep, called Rogers and they disabled it (you know, when I reached the third person I was transferred to). Nevertheless, one less useless message to deal with!
