Default problem with BIS HTML and notifications

hi guys.
our sys admin had enabled Full HTML on our BB's...
so im getting HTML on work emails....
so i have decided to go to the BIS and put in my gmail account so i will get push gmail to my device.
2 problems:
1 - i dont get those mails from the BIS in HTML mode and i dont have an option to HTML (like i have in work emaisl)
2 - i have set my profile to everyhting to notify with a sound.... but when i get mails from BIS i dont see anything, no sound, no red light no nothing... just the mail coming in...
can some1 help me ?

Have you resent your service books from the BIS site?

You've went into Profiles > Advanced > Normal (for example) > [email address] and verified there is a tone set, as well as LED notification.

I would try a battery pull if you haven't. If you have, remove the account from your BIS and then re-add it.

tried battery poll
tried delete and re do
and checked if its set to tone

is it possible thats its a limitation from the BES?
could it be?

when i go to settings on the device and then to service book
i see everything there with a V mark net to it on the left EXCEPT the gmail account....
there i see like a no entrence sign (like a round with a string in the middle)... does that say anything?

I have gone through the same exact thing on my phone. Your admin does not allow you to set up personal email accounts on your BB. I receive personal email on mine as you do, but with no sound or indication like you as well. I cannot create or reply to personal email either. You may find that to be true as well. Best thing to do, is ask your admin about it, as I did and that is how I find out. I have full capabilities on BES, but can only receive BIS email.

BIS - blackberry internet services
a service by ur carrier and RIM
BES - blackberry enterprise server
a dedicated server runing in corporates...

true....
but im not...
im long enough in the company to know they dont...
plus they wont unless ur boss ask them too.
and my boss is cool
i doubt they do....
they have better things to do....
