So if you look under 'memory' in your options, you see that memory is seperated for device and for applications. What does device memory use and why is there so much more than for applications?

Also, I find that every couple of days I have to yank my battery because my application memory is at zero. After doing this, I do get at least 25-30mb freed up. I had been thinking that this was in relation to viewing files on the web, etc... and went through the web options and clear cahce, etc..., but that did nothing from what I saw. Is there something else I can do to clean house every now and then without removing the battery?

Thanks for your help!

Wirelessly posted (Hope is everything)

One or more of your apps may have a memory leak!
What OS are you using on your Bold?
When finished with an app do you close it properly or is it still running in the background?

A lot of times I assume I press the 'end call' button. Havwe tried to make sure that I hit the menu button and then select 'close', but that doesn't happen. More to add on that alone? Comments on the other questions? Thanks so far.

if you hit the button next to the end call button (the back arrow) this will close it (for most apps, google maps is an exception ive found) like pressing menu-close does.
pressing the end cal button, merely puts the app to running in the background.

clearing the caache of the broswer does work, as does peridocially going through the folders (mms outbox, sms outbox, slecting iew sent messages for email) and clearing out all sent items, as well as clearing emails and texts from the inbox.

Default Aerize Card Loader

Has anyone tried Aerize Card Loader to help with memory issues? They offer a free trial. Would like some input from the experiences blackberry users if this is worth it

Okay, so I still have the issue that when I take out my battery and return it, I end up with a ton more memory than I had prior to temporarily removing the battery. Why is this? Why can't I just clean up the memory without removing the battery? Am I missing something else? Any other thoughts and/or ideas? Thanks much.

Under options, security options, memory cleaner options, I have enabled mine. Clean when holstered and clean when idle, with a 5 min timeout. Also have whatever the default options are for cleaners. Not even sure if u can change those. But havnt had an issue thus far
