What I mean is the calender is good but when i make an "appointment," it is very hard to tell that an appointment is on a certain day. All it is is just a little black dot, is there a way to have like the whole day be changed to a different color or a bigger symbol for days with appointments?

Or press 'a' whilst in calendar and you get an agenda view

I'm with AvinThat, I have the default view set to Week and use week or agenda view. I find not showing free time in the agenda view also works better for me.

The calendar is one the Blackberry's biggest weaknesses, IMHO.

In month view if you set the appointment for a longer period of time, the dot turns in to a small bar that is easier to see. So if you have a 9:30 appt, if you specify the time period as 9:30 to 10:30, it is easier to see that appt at a glance on the calendar. Same thing for week view. A thine line turns into a blue rectangle. The longer the the appt, the bigger the bar.

Yeah Ive just decided to switch to the agenda view. It doesnt satisfy my needs (would rather have a calender view with icons on dates that i have something to do) but i guess I have to live with it

You should take a look at the aftermarket forum. Look at PocketInformant, Agendus, Calendar Pro, PocketDay.
