Post i cant keep it on edge?

i have an AT&T blackberry bold 9000, my service provider is fido(canadian phone company)
i noticed that i cannot make outgoing calls but i can recieve incoming
i realized this only happens when im on 3G network
i found i can change to edge or 2G but it very shorty on its own switchs back to 3G
is there anyway i can save it to stay on 2G or edge or keep it from switching back?

With the AT&T Bold, you need to debrand it. Do a google search as I think they limit discussion on this forum for debranding.
