Will they add file types that I can access with newer OS versoins? or is there a place I should go to d/l codec or something like that? so I can play back .flv or .mp4 or what ever.

I'm still running .219 so I've got a little catching up to do. Always a little hesitent about upgrading till bugs are worked out, then when they are (or if they ever are) they have a new os out
