Hi, new member here hoping to get some help. I did the search option but couldn't find anything similar to my problem. I also searched blackberry's website and the user manual and know that sending media attachments via bluetooth, email, and mms is possible on the bold but when I tried to send my brother a customized ringtone and an mp3 I added to my bold, the only option it gave me was bluetooth. When I went back to media option in the main menu and chose a wallpaper or pic to send just to test it, the option to send by mms was there. Anyone know why that is? Thanks in advance for any assistance

Go into your contacts, select the contact, press the menu button and MMS Contact. When you're in the message, press menu and Attach Audio. Browse for the audio file but make sure it doesn't exceed the MMS size limit. I'm not sure what that is though. A google search leads me to believe that it's set by the carrier? Dunno.

How big is the ring tone?

I know it sounds minute...did you attach it after creating an mms or did you just navigate to the media file via the media explorer/player and try to send it from there?

So i just went through some files (pictures, videos and audio) and it looks like the OS chooses to show the Send As MMS menu option based on the file size. It determines if the size is too big and doesn't show the option if so. Smaller files get the option. Checked this with pictures, videos and audio files and it seems to be consistent that the smaller files get the option and the larger ones don't. But again, I don't know what this predetermined size limit is.
