So I have been looking around and I have found a few paid applications that do this. Applications such as Aerize Email Alerts. And PeekaWhoo. But I was also wondering if there were any free applications that will alow me to have popup sms and email alerts. I looked around but do not seem to find any. Do any exist? Since there have not been any responses just a bunch of views. I am guessing no one knows of one. So I guess I am going to have to look into getting a paid app or trying to make my own. Also I will prob wait a few days since it is rumored that the BBApp store opens tommrow. I guess only time will tell.

I haven't been able to find any, no. Would be a nice built-in feature of the bb OS. I wonder if there are legal issues about RIM taking ideas like that from applications that already exist.

Do you mean something that alerts based upon the type of communication received?

Or based upon the rules with a specific contact calling or emailing or sms etc?

An alert like the iphone does. That same type of popup notification that u have recived a message. Or in our case an email as well.
