Angry Mute Button Appears to go to standby?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone.

So today my mute button seemed to stop working. It still works well if I push it in very hard with a fingernail, but I can't take the time to do that every time I want to check my phone momentarily.

Since my phone was purchased unlocked and I can't get anyone to recognize the warranty (long, very frustrating story), is there a way around getting this fixed? Is there a piece of software I can use to create a shortcut to going into standby mode?

Any has anyone had this happen? Any idea what might be going on? Thanks!

This actually happened to me starting yesterday. The button clicks, but it would not go on standby. I'd have to dig in my nails to press hard to lock it.
However, when unlocking it, it's quite easy to do. Might be the holding that's the problem here.

I haven't found a solution as of yet.
