Afternoon,

I managed to get out of my Orange contract, due to on-going coverage issues in my area via the Orange Executive Office, i've now defected to Vodafone.

I've bought another Bold, I have a question.

in the past when moving handsets, i've simply backed up my contacts, wifi profiles etc - but not servicebooks into an IPD file, and injected into the new BB. - this time: - i was thinking of using the Device Switch wizard (seeing as im going to the same device. - using this method, will it copy the servicebooks over? - or can i specify what data i want copying?

I'm fairly certain the switch wizard does not back up service books. Even if it did, as soon as you registered the device with the Vodafone network, they would be replaced.

I did this, and it did copy the servicebooks over.. i deleted them all, loaded them from Voda's BIS - and bam! - its sorted.

only problem now is, the back cover doesnt sit flush on the device, - i've tried the back of my orange 9000, and its the same, if i press the quick release button at the bottom, the back more/less falls off..

hope i dont need another new phone :(

This is common with Bolds.

Vodafone are going to replace it, for one thats going to fit more snug. - the constant flapping of the back cover would drive me mad!!
