Default BB Bold wi-fi

Please Login to Remove!

My BB Bold wi-fi has stopped and it wont enable. I have gone into manage connections and instead of all three connections on, the mobile network is on but the wi-fi is off and it won't switch on. the bluetooth does stay on. These 3 are usually all on so i don't know what's happened. The main concern is the wi-fi, why won't it switch on?

if you are running an older OS or have a non-att branded phone that is locked this can happen.

What were you doing just before it stopped working? Did you load a new theme or an app perhaps?

Im confused by this. it seems you are suggesting that any phone that is not att branded but is locked to a network has problems.

I have a non att branded phone i.e a t-mobile branded bold and it is locked to t-mob and i have no problems.

well its obvious when you use any branded phone that is not used or designed on that network I.E unbranded or att branded such as using that phone on t-mobile network there of coarse will be hardware or software conflicts.

but you said a non att-branded phone that is locked.
as though any phone that is not att has problem.

perhaps it is just the way you phrased it that confused me.

also im on t-mob UK, so I have no conflicts, as the bold is available in uk on t-mob.

as to the original problem. pull the battery. it should then work.
this should be the first thing to try when anything strange happens. pull the battery.

This is a SIM free phone, ie bought new without a contract attached and it has always worked fine. I had probs with the phone but re-installed the 4.6 software and everything has been fine. I only noticed this when i saw that my battery was draining very fast recently.

I strongly urge you to go to BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ, and read - a lot - before commenting.

I have an AT&T branded Bold running perfectly on T-Mobile, with the latest OS. Since T-Mobile does not offer 3G on those bands, that is the only limitation.
