Default Can't delete text message

Please Login to Remove!

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this topic.

I have a few messages in my sms inbox that i can't delete.

These are the items i have tried so far:

1. in the sms inbox- select message-hit scroll ball- then delete......message just remains in the inbox.

2. go into applications then saved messages(it appears there) - select the message and delete. the message disappears initially. go back to the inbox and it is still there, highlight the message in the inbox and delete. Nothing happens. Go back into the saved messages in applications and it reappears there.

Can anybody provide any guidance as to how i show go about removing the message??

Thanks,

Jordan

Pull your battery out for 20 seconds.

Welcome to the forums.

Sounds like you have a corrupt SMS database. You could clear the database.

Connect your device to your PC, launch Desktop Manager, Go into Backup/Restore and select Advanced. On the right side you will see your device databases. Highlight SMS Messages and click the clear button.

**Warning** this will delete ALL SMS messages.

Yep a battery pull will usually fix the problem.

Borrow your thread. Is there anyway to mass delete SMS messages apart from deleting one at a time? At the moment, I'm deleting SMS messages one at a time.

You can press Alt+S to show only sms messages (if your inboxes are combined). You can either hold the left cap button and scroll to select multiple messages to delete, or you can scroll to the date that you want to delete old messages from and press the menu button then select Delete Older/Prior (I'd tell you exactly what it says but I'm currently loading my OS onto my Bold at the moment =P )

Hope this helps.
