Default is there a difference between recharging through usb and the recharger?

well, the title says it all.

is there a difference in battery life? my battery is down to 50% (recharged through USB till 8am). i used it a little for web / facebook access on my way into paris this morning, so nothing special...

Was your computer on all night? If not, even if you were attached to a powered hub the port may not have been at high power, so wouldn't charge the Blackberry.

it was attached to my notebook, which was powered on all the time. (and the "lightning" was visible as well)

like i said, it was up to 100% this morning but went down horribly fast.

You likely have other apps running in the background, like the browser on an active page.

Thanks for the link, already know most of the tricks.

I tend to close the browser using the menu button -> close, so it's never running on an active page. From your answers I'm guessing that it doesn't make any difference how the BB is recharged (at least USB <> plug), thanks guys.

Really doesn't make a difference, car charger, USB charger or wall charger. From experience. the wall charger might be a little quicker to charge, but not enough to worry about.

What OS are you running? There are some versions that were rougher on battery than others.
