Default Bold ATT NO EDGE ?

Please Login to Remove!

Thought I finally worked out ATTs 3G/2G excellence. Maybe not.
Don't know if it's only related to recent network issues but 2G has become almost inaccessible from the Bold. Curious that my Curves are getting 2G sufficiently to stay connected while the Bolds (with 2G only) consistently drop to GSM. Hmmm.
ATT has baffled me with their brilliance and now seem to be hosing me with their intelligence. What is ATT up to?
-Note-ATT CS suggests I 'pull battery' and if that doesn't resolve 'reload OS'
Wonder if that will help... how do I pull the battery, what does OS stand for...

Remove the battery cover and remove the battery from the device while it is ON and then replace. O.S. stands for Operating System.

Thanks. I was being childishly sarcastic. Probably abused this forum with a pseudo rant, but I hope others with common issue will relieve me of my insanity. Nothin but hogwash from ATT support.

Sorry about that! You can't imagine some of the questions that are asked here! So why are we against 3G? Just battery life or what?

Sincerely thanks for reply. 3G is only problematic for me when it switches to 2G and vice-versa. Primarily during streams (phone, data sync, etc.) Additionally battery life is acceptable with stable signal (12-20 hrs) but can be as little as 6 hrs when not able to force 2G only. I guess the real issue is why the switch without option (i.e. provide a 3G available network OR a 2G network) I rarely need 3G and when 2G is available it does all I want.
