Question New Bold Owner...Need Help

Hey guys,
I just recieved my Bold (noobie) today and I have a few questions.

What would you suggest putting on this phone other than what comes on it?

Also, a buddy of mine has a Bold and on his home screen, he can scroll side to side through the apps on the bottom, or up and down through the apps on the side. Its kinda like a L shape, but hes able to scroll through them. Where do I find something like that?

What you're referring to is a theme. You can find a huge selection of them in the media section.
