10 wrong password attempts.
Warnings about your BB wiping itself.
Confirmation that you understand.
Final step of typing "blackberry".

It's gone baby! There is no "undo" for a wiped device. You can restore from your most recent backup, but you will probably have to re-download your third-party apps and re-enter the registration codes by hand.

You should do what it says and reload the OS. See the sticky in the section for your device. Your profile says "900". I assume you mean "9000"?

I don't know. Passwords don't magically get set though.

If you reset the device to factory like I told you, your password that you "didn't set" will be gone and therefore your device will not auto-lock.

Neanea,

Looking at your other posts indicates that you're on a BES. You have questions on how to delete BES email, how to disable BES email from being pushed to your device.

That could explain how a password was set on your device. However, if you're connected to the BES, you should NOT be trying to circumvent their security policies. You may find yourself in the unemployment line.

I highly recommend searching these forums before you post. Also, please check out BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ

Welcome to the forums.

You shouldn't post this question in this thread, it's not good forum etiquette.
Your profile shows you have the 8700. Here is the OS and the steps to install the OS.

If you don't have an 8700 please let us know.
