Default Desktop Manager Backup and OS

Please Login to Remove!

just wondering if I have done a backup through desktop manager then run an os upgrade, can I get back to the last os by restoring the backup? I am new to BB and still trying to figure out the details of setting everything up.

I have read many older posts about upgrading and downgrading to this os or that os. Upgraded to .167 last week and maybe going to again.

backup's do not effect OS.
the OS is something you download, install, use Desktop manager to install.
a backup will backup settings, messages, phone book, calendar etc and will be used to restore this info back onto your device after upgrading.

to downgrade, you install the OS you want to downgrade to and do the same process for upgrading.
