Default Generic Data Plan

Please Login to Remove!

Guys, I am trying to configure my device to use the generic data plan since my carrier does not offer any BIS. I followed the steps that blackberry faq provided us, but the menu seems different than what i have on my device. when i go to advance options-tcp/ip there is only option to put in our apn names. and it seems does not work out. let me know what I should do. thanks

Call your provider and ask for information on how to configure a phone for data access on their network.

Your profile says carrier is t-mobile. i assume t-mobile US.
t-mobile do have data plans available and you should be able to call them and ask to add the BB data plan. They may ask the phone you have, and because you have the bold and t-mob US dont support it, they may say you cant have it.
however you can add the BB data plan to you contract, and it will use it fine.

I believe all T-Mobile properties have BlackBerry data plans.

yes they do.
I was merely stating that if they ask which BB the OP has, and they say Bold, T-mobile might say they can't add the BB data plan, because they don't carry the bold.

Theorectically they shouldn't ask, and should agree to add a BB data plan.
