Yesterday I got a message on my bb that said the device had to be rebooted for the new settings to take place.
I had no idea why it was saying that, but I did a battery pull, and when it came back again I had all these new apps, tetris, scrabble, weather, ringtone maker, music videos, etc

I can't remember if they're the standard apps that come with the Bold, but even if they are, they were definitely hidden prior to this reboot.

Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks!

It's AT&T pushing down browser shortcuts to purchase those apps.

That's some advanced spamming on their part!

Thanks! I was hoping I didn't inadvertently purchased these apps from the BB app store while the phone was in my pocket

Is there a way to have these not appear after deleting the service book and after doing a battery pull?

I put them all in a folder called "Crap" then hide the folder.

I've already done that..not like its taking up that much memory space but just annoying to have them show up after i delete them out of the service book.

You won't be able to get rid of them, as each carrier update will bring them back. I guess you just have to live with them like how you live with taxes
