Is it possible with a hack, or firmware to save movies as MP4 rather than 3GP? 3GP files are horribly compressed and the quality of the movies is lousy. I find it hard to believe my old Nokia phone can do a better job since I have the option of using either MP4 or 3GP. I understand it is used to save bandwidth, but if I am just saving them on my memory card, I much rather use MP4.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Maybe if you place this in the developers forum someone might take it on as a project and develop a video camera app that will store the data in mp4 format..
