Wirelessly posted (Tmo's cheapest BB customer)

I'd return the phone and get another one if possible.

I've not had any problems like that at all with my Bold in the 5 months I've owned it.

Have you upgraded to the latest operating system?

Upgrade the OS immediately (check the sticky in the 9000 forum), and turn off wifi, bluetooth, and stay away from 3G service.

It is worth mentioning, the Bold is not known for having a long battery life.

Definitely update your os. Mine shipped with .167(att) and I've only had it for a month. (retired the 8320 and the 8800) Imediately I notice severe battery drain issues especially being on border of a 3g coverage area in my state. But for me I went from .167 to .237 to .247 (back to .237) and finally to .266 and all seems well. No more overheating or crashing and battery life has improved alot.

Bold battery life has never been the best, unfortunately.

I've had my Bold for the last 7 months, and the ONLY problem i had with it was when i first got it, the OS was NOT compatible with Vodafone. In a week's time all was fixed. And yes, when i used .190, my battery drained out REALLY quickly a couple times.

As the rest have said, upgrade your OS. I've used .237 and now am on .266 which have by far been the most stable, and have had no problems with them so far.

Sounds weird, do you put in a memory card when you get the phone? Perhaps the MSD may be the problem.
