Default My review of v247

Please Login to Remove!

Just put it on my AT&T Bold.

---------------------------------

new things:
-visual voicemail: i got an icon for this but it doesnt seem to work :( i previously had another visual voicemail (youmail) app from the app world, but deleted it cause it didnt visually show the voicemail, it just txt me saying i had new voicemail. this one....its def a different icon and when i start it it says "provisioning is unsuccessful. To resolve this issue, contact your wireless service provider". Anyone know whats going on with this? is this made strictly for another provider such as rogers?

-personal email setup: i now have 2 icons for this. the format for one of them is different though. i have the original that starts the browser to setup email accounts. now i got a new one that i guess just loads it own app...seems easier to use too. can i just delete the old one?

make UR tunes: downloading it now, looks promising.

new "shop xxx" icons in the download folder: useless lol

get mobile banking, my-cast weather, and wikimobile: look like they might be cool, not all that interesting but w/e

-----------------------------

pros:
-app world seems to run much quicker. i had a LOT of issues with the app world on my old OS, it was sooooo slow before.

-yellow pages app works. not sure if anyone had this issue but i couldnt get it to work on my old OS.

----------------------------

cons:
-browser seems slower despite everyone saying its quicker on 247 :(

-So far there still seems to be a lag in navigating through different icons/menu items. i had this issue before on my previous 2xx version...it started, however, only when i put in my transcend 8GB card. it could just need some time to "warm up" or something, but the lag seems longer now :/

-previously i was having the common issue of failed calls. i havent tested it with a call yet, but i noticed service going in and out already and at one point it went to SOS...this is all while sitting in the same spot which gets 3G. all ive read about the 247 OS is saying the call failed issue is still a problem so im not holding out hope.

------------------------------

havent tried it yet, but i hope opera works now. it worked on my old OS but it jumbled all the words together :( if theres just a simple setting im missing someone please let me know

i also noticed it didnt restore a voice command app i had, but i didnt really care for it anyways so screw it lol

its too early to say for sure if i like it better, time will tell. i hope the battery life at least stayed the same if not got better. on the original OS the Bold had when i got it, my battery life was about 5 hours with VERY minimal use...that was terrible. upgraded to the 2xx version (cant remember exactly which one it was), and it makes it 1.5-2 days now with moderate usage. hopefully it doesnt get worse.

A little paranoid? That or you don't spend a lot of time on discussion boards...

The little "caption" you mention changes when your post count gets to various levels. That's just one of many "captions" that you'll see as your post count increases.
