Default Bold as wi-fi modem for laptop

Hi friends,
can i use my bold as wi-fi modem to share with my laptop who dont have wi-fi adapter,etc.i connect to internet from my bold via wi-fi,then connect bold with laptop via usb cable and on my laptop use internet ?

Search for Tether or Tethering. Not sure it will work on Wi-Fi without a Blackberry Data Plan but there are lots of threads dealing with this already.

Can't be done. Tethering uses the data portion of your phone for the modem. If you don't have a data plan, it won't connect. There is no way to just get the WiFi to work.

Yes, forgot for a moment until I re-read the FAQ (I haven't done this for a while). Tethering uses the carrier direct TCP access. So it won't use Wi-Fi even if you do have a data plan.

The BlackBerry Bold is not capable of sharing it's Internet connection over WiFi.

Hi everyone im a nube to bb forums. my question is how do I configure the settings if I wanted to tether my bold with my laptop. its a at&t branded phone but I had it unlocked for t-mobile.
